Our Process

Gather Your Inspiration

The foundation of great design starts with understanding what you love.

Before you submit your brief, take time to explore and collect inspiration. This step matters more than you might think—the images you choose reveal your aesthetic preferences, lifestyle needs, and the feeling you want to create.

You'll need clear photos of your current room from multiple angles, plus 5–10 inspiration images that capture what you're drawn to. These might be whole rooms, colour palettes, furniture pieces, or textures that resonate with you. They don't need to match your space exactly—we're looking for themes and moods.

Need guidance? Check out our Photo Guide for tips on capturing your room, and browse our Inspiration page to explore different styles and discover what speaks to you.

02

Submit Your Brief

Tell us about your space, your vision, and what you're hoping to achieve.

Once you've gathered your room photos and inspiration images, you're ready to fill out our online brief form. This is where we get to know your project and understand what matters most to you.

The form takes about 10–15 minutes. Be as detailed or brief as feels right, but remember: the more context you give us, the more tailored your concept will be.

Once submitted, you'll receive confirmation and a timeline for delivery. If we need any clarification or if your photos need adjusting, we'll reach out before we start designing. Then it's over to us.

We Design Your Concept

This is where our expertise comes in.

Your brief arrives, and our designers get to work. We study your space, analyse your inspiration, and apply trained design judgment to create something unique to you.

We assess your room's layout, light, and proportions — and for joinery concepts, we focus on how built-in cabinetry can work with your space. We decode what draws you to your inspiration images and translate that into a cohesive concept. Using smart technology and visualisation tools combined with our design experience, we reimagine your actual space, thinking about scale, balance, flow, and practicality.

This isn't a template. Every concept is created specifically for your room, shaped by your brief, and guided by our experience designing real spaces for real people.

A Note on Expectations

We want you to love what we create, which is why clarity matters from the start.

You'll receive one carefully considered concept for a single room based on your brief. This isn't a back-and-forth design process with multiple rounds of revisions. We put our expertise into getting it right the first time using everything you share with us. That streamlined approach is the trade-off for the lower price and faster turnaround.

If you're comfortable with that, we think you'll find this service a brilliant way to bring professional design thinking into your home.

What Happens Next? You Decide.

Your concept visuals are created to give you clear design direction and aesthetic clarity—they represent an artistic interpretation of your space that captures the mood, style, and feeling you're aiming for. They're perfect for showing others what you have in mind, guiding your material and furniture choices, or briefing professionals on your vision.

How clients typically use their concepts:

As a communication tool. If you're working with an interior designer, builder, or decorator, the visuals help you show them what aesthetic you're drawn to and what feeling you want to create. It becomes a shared starting point for the conversation.

To guide your decisions. Whether you're choosing paint colours, shopping for furniture, or planning a layout, the concept gives you a clear reference point for the style, palette, and mood you're working towards.

As inspiration for your own planning. Some clients use the concept to inform their own sketches, mood boards, or room plans. It's a creative foundation to build from.

What's not included —

and what that means for you:

We don't provide technical drawings, precise measurements, construction plans, supplier sourcing, or project management. Our concept visuals represent an artistic interpretation of your space—they're not architecturally precise or construction-ready. This focused, inspiration-first approach is what keeps our service affordable and fast.

If you're planning structural changes, custom built-ins, or complex renovations, you'll want to work with an architect, interior designer, or experienced contractor who can create technical plans and oversee the build. Our concept can be a valuable starting point for those conversations—it gives them a clear sense of the aesthetic you want to achieve and can reduce the upfront cost of design fees.

If you're refreshing a space with new paint, furniture, and styling (no structural work), the concept gives you the confidence and direction to make those choices yourself or brief decorators and suppliers on exactly what you're looking for.

Your design document includes a Next Steps Guide with practical advice on how to move forward—whether you're tackling the project yourself, working with professionals, or implementing the changes in phases.
